Awards for PennCon  will be different from those done by traditional IPMS events  in that we will us an open judging system similar to the way that some figure and military model contests are conducted.  Open judging means that all models in a given category that are judged to be worthy of an award will receive one regardless of the number of winners. Exapmle; if a modeler enters three models in a single category and all are judged to receive an award  (either gold, silver, or bronze) the contestant will get all three awards. The criteria for judging the models will continue to follow IPMS National standards,  guidelines can be read here.  IPMS-USA Modeling Basics
